TOPIC: ENGLISH – AN IMPORTANT SECTION IN ENTRANCE EXAM

English is an important language in today’s world. From basic education to higher education, school exams to entrance exams, day-to-day conversation to international meetings, creating a resume to apply for foreign jobs, etc., English language has always played a vital and significant role.

The use and implementation of English language is not restricted to one particular domain rather it’s as vast as the sky.

If I talk particularly about CLAT | AILET | DU LLB or any law entrance exams in Delhi or overall India, in every entrance exam there is a section of English and it carries approximately one-fourth of the overall weight age.

Every institute of law coaching in Delhi focuses on English section. In this section, the proficiency in English is tested on the basis of questions related to comprehension passages and grammar. In the comprehension section, candidates are evaluated on the basis of their understanding of the passage, the central theme, meanings of words used in the passage etc.

The grammar section requires correction of incorrect grammatical sentences, filling of blanks in sentences with appropriate words, etc. It is extremely important to show complete determination towards English section to target colleges that provide best law classes in Delhi.

Learning of any language becomes easy and convenient when you start using it in your day-to-day life. Form the perception of entrance exams, one should have a keen knowledge of the language.

This knowledge could be achieved by studying & practicing regularly and also by daily activities.

Such as: Find the meanings of new words, words we are not familiar with; Find synonyms and antonyms of daily used words; Read English newspaper daily; Read one non-fictional essay and try to analyze it and understand its theme; Watch educational English videos; Pay attention to spellings; Play word games; Solving one test paper daily; Day by day increase the level of test paper; Use English as a language of communication in daily life, etc. To command over any language, one should make it a habit.
